Why can’t I just write the copy myself instead of hiring a professional writer?
Well, if you’re a great writer, and you have a fantastic eye for detail, you know your way around the grammar tree, and you have gobs of free time, then by all means you should do it yourself. However, the fact of the matter is, most people just don’t have the time to get every detail right, they don’t always understand grammatical nuances, or they don’t really understand what makes great copy. That’s why I’m here. I understand all of that, and more. By hiring me, you can clear your schedule for the things you do best, like meeting your clients face to face, or developing new products, or serving your customers a great meal. Whatever your specialty is, when you hire me as your professional writer, it means you have more time to do the things that mean the most to you.
Why is hiring a professional writer so important now?
One of the main reasons is because of the way search engines, and specifically Google, work. In the last couple of years, the big buzz in web content was SEO keyword strategies, but a lot of websites used too little SEO, or sometimes too much (known in the biz as keyword stuffing), writing for bots instead of people. SEO is still vitally important, but Google has changed the way their search engines work. Now, for higher rankings, web pages need to have fresh and unique content. Copying and pasting content from other websites (which a lot of websites used to do) doesn’t work any more. Neither does spinning articles, or generating nonsense messages that have key words embedded in them. Today, the king of content is well-written articles, blog posts, content, and messages that are written for HUMANS, not for some mysterious search bot looking for over used key words.

One of the great things about this business is that I have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and from all over the country (and the world). Although we may not live in the same geographical area, communication has never been easier. I communicate with my clients through a variety of mediums: telephone, e-mail, instant messaging, Skype, Facetime, and yes, even in person. If the project requires it, I can always travel. I frequently interview subjects for articles over the telephone, getting necessary quotes and information easily; often, I can get information much more quickly than if a face-to-face appointment is requested.
When Can You Get Started?
Generally speaking, I can start your project within a week, depending on my assignment queue. If you have a rush job, I may be able to move it to the front of the assignment queue for an extra rush fee.
